Chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, dementia, stroke, and arthritis are a massive problem. So are the social, economic and environmental “chronic diseases” of corruption, pollution and exploitative political and economic policies. All of these ills are currently running rampant in our modern world. The good news is that solutions NOW exist for the betterment of ALL of these problems.
Through our individual choices we generate the causes which lead to the effects on the well-being of our body, mind, psyche, soul, community and our environment. Through the cultivating of integrity and of the virtues of Self-knowledge, Self-discipline, Self-reliance and Self-responsibility, as well as through the cultivation of passionate decision making for the greater good, in the blink of an eye we could elicit profound healing and nourishing of our Selves, our communities and our planet.
In “Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life” Wayne Dyer wrote the following:
But I’m not writing these words to try to change the world in one fell swoop; rather, I’m doing so to try to encourage the way you see your world. If you make that modification, others will gravitate toward living honorably as well. When enough of us do this, we’ll reach a critical mass that will eliminate “the boasting of thieves after a looting.”
Begin by seeing yourself as the environment, rather than as an organism within it. I’ve even coined a word to describe when life-forms are whole, rather than separate: environorganisms. Understand that you can’t survive apart from what it seems isn’t a part of you- for you absolutely are the air, the water, the plants, the animals, and everyone else on the planet. Change your worldview to one that completely understands that when anyone else is starving or living in poverty, so are you. See yourself in all others and you’ll find the compassion, love and willingness that replaces your belief in your uniqueness and differences.
We can derive inspiration from Metatron’s Cube as its stunning geometry helps us realize the harmony, balance and, paradoxically, the unity within the diversity of nature. Metatron’s cube not only portrays many philosophic and transcendental principles such as correspondence, polarity, rhythm, and gender but it also embodies many mathematical and geometrical principles known to science.
Mathematics and geometry are the keys to understanding universal order and they are no more evident then in the human body. Philosophers and mystics of old realized that the body is a microcosm of the universe, that the body is a miniature of universal patterns.
For example, the great cathedrals are masterpieces of human engineering just as the human body is a masterpiece of Divine engineering.
In regards to Metatron’s Cube as an archetype, Ralph Shepherd writes, “The cube represents the three-dimensionality of space. Within the cube lies the sphere. The cube represents the body with our third-dimensional reality, of manifested thought. The sphere within represents the consciousness of spirit within us, or, as is commonly known, our soul.”
The six circles containing the six platonic solids can represent for us the six aspects of complete health:
